Where to stay
Ibiza has accommodation to suit all states and budgets. From basic hostels and rural hotels to five-star spots like the Ibiza Grand Hotel in Ibiza Town, you’ll have a huge choice. For a little more peace, you might best to avoid the central 'West End' bar strip of San Antonio, but it all depends on what floats your boat.
From around 7pm in the evening, you can expect the bars to get busy around San Antonio as most folk are still lounging on the beaches. Drink specials are everywhere and for a destination that can get expensive, there can be some great offers. The West End, near San Antonio centre, is a long, wide street packed with bars and keeps going until around 3 or 4AM. Ibiza is best known for its large clubs like Privilege, Eden, Amnesia, and more, and attract some of the best DJs in the world who play a weekly 'residency' on a particular night during the week.
From the calm of Cala Jondal, San José to the action at Las Salinas, Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza’s beaches are world-famous and offer something for all. Playa Mitjorn, on Formentera, the largest of the islands to the south of Ibiza, has the best Balearic beaches and Playa Mitjorn, is said to be the longest beach on the island, with amazing white sands and calm seas. Try and head for Cala D’Hort, near Cala Vadella to get an incredible view of the volcano-shaped Es Vedra rock.
