When you land 

Get the free Silver Line Rapid Transit service from all terminals to South Station in the city while Blue Line Subway services are also available. If you’ll be using public transport a lot, you’re best off picking up a Charlie Card, for discounts on travel and entertainment. 

History 

As the largest city in New England, Boston has been the site for numerous historical events including the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre. Try and make time for the Freedom Trail, a red brick path through down-town Boston that leads visitors to 16 significant historic sites. 

Sport 

Boston is sports-crazy and home to some famous teams including Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox, the Bruins (Ice Hockey), the Celtics (Basketball) and the New England Patriots (American Football).  

Fun for all the family 

From The New England Aquarium and the Franklin Park Zoo to the Museum of Science, there’s plenty to keep the kids happy. And when tummies start to rumble, head to the historic North End for great restaurants and people-watching opportunities – we recommend the, seafood, particularly clam chowder. Use the subway (or the ‘T’) to get around where possible as there’ slots to see in this great city. 

Shopping and Nightlife 

Shoppers love Boston and Newbury Street, The Prudential Centre and Copley Place Mall are not to be missed, while Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and “Southie” are packed full of homegrown treasures and keepsakes. 

For late nights, Boston boasts a lively nightlife scene, particularly on Lansdowne Street near Kenmore Square and hotels and guesthouses to suit every budget.
