Shopping & Soccer
For some retail therapy, head to the historic Bullring District. Once the city’s meat and cattle market, it is now a vast shopping area encompassing 140 shops and cafés in a pair of striking glass-covered malls.
Birmingham also loves its soccer or football as it’s known locally and is home to some truly historic clubs in Aston Villa and Birmingham City. If you’re planning to take in a game, make sure you book well in advance as tickets are scarce on match days.
