Once you’ve passed through security, you just need somewhere to take it easy until you board your flight. With a great choice of restaurants and bars, along with incredible value at Shannon Duty Free, there’s lots to do while you wait. And with many departure lounges available for travellers of all types, we’ll do our very best to get your trip off to a relaxed start.

Or you can visit the central concourse between the Arrivals and Departures Hall which provides coin and credit card operated Internet and printing access.
We know how important your mobile device is to you and have made charging points available throughout the airport. You can take a seat at any of the booths at our bars and restaurants. If you like to escape the hustle and bustle of airport life, you should treat yourself to a few hours in the Ború or Burren Lounges. You don’t need to be an executive or even on business, you just need to enjoy a little peace and quiet – and all from just €25.

Note for Smokers
Shannon Airport is a smoke-free airport in line with Public Health Legislation and smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the front of the terminal building and in a specially provided location adjacent to the airport Transit Lounge/Departures Area. Similarly, Electronic cigarettes and vaporisers cannot be used within the airport premises.
If you’ve lost property in transit, talk to your airline immediately. If you’ve lost anything at the airport, our Lost Property Team, located in the Arrivals Hall can be contacted as follows:

Currency and Cash
You can change currencies or take out cash at various points across the airport. Whether you’re arriving or departing, we’ll make sure you can access currency and cash services as you need them.
You’ll find a small oratory within the airport terminal that provides a place for prayer for visitors to Shannon Airport. Roman Catholic Mass is held on Sundays at 08:45am.
We’re currently working on restoring drinking fountains and we expect them to be up and running soon. In the meantime, you can visit any restaurant or cafe in the airport campus and refill your water bottle at no charge.
A post box (for mailing letters and postcards only) is located adjacent to the WHSmith shop in the arrivals area. Parcels should be posted at a post office prior to arrival at the airport.
If you're visiting Ireland from outside the EU, you can claim back VAT (value added tax) which is a retail tax payable on goods purchased in Ireland. In the Departures Lonuge, there are two VAT refunding agencies.
Whether you’re picking up, dropping off, or travelling yourself, we’ve got parking covered. As the only provider of official parking at Shannon Airport, we want to make sure you can park up easily before catching your flight.
