Travel enthusiasts & holidaymakers to descend on Limerick at weekend for Holiday Show

16 February 2017

Cruises to caravans, hotels to hostels, flights to ferries, and everything in between, can all be booked at the Holiday Show, which will be held at the UL Arena this weekend, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of February.

The Holiday Show, in association with Shannon Airport, is the biggest of its kind outside of the capital and is set to welcome over 80 worldwide travel suppliers to Limerick this weekend.

Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the free event this weekend in search of bargain breaks in the sun, luxury cruise holidays, bespoke honeymoons and long-haul flight deals.

Those on the hunt for low-priced flights or route advice can look forward to meeting with representatives from airlines such as Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Aer Lingus, Ethiopian Airlines, Delta Air Lines and many more.

The package holiday is still as popular as ever and savvy people looking for a cheap week in the sun can speak with a number of agents and operators this weekend, including American Holidays, Sunway, ClickandGo.com, Tropical Sky, Dawson Travel and Limerick Travel.  With theme parks and resorts still a big draw for families, The Holiday Show has made sure that some of the most popular parks will be represented at the UL Arena. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Trabolgan Holiday Village, Aquatica, Discovery Cove Orlando and Attraction Tickets Direct will all be on hand with advice and tips for travellers.

Edmund Hourican, Managing Director Bizex, organisers of the Holiday Show said, “We have a great event lined up and the timing is excellent as it’s going to be a bumper year for holidays, the biggest in over a decade”.

Shannon Airport’s Head of Aviation Development Declan Power said “It’s going to be a big year for holidays and the Holiday Show is going to be bigger as a result this year. Every question people have, from honeymoons to adventure holidays, will be answered at it and there are plenty of prizes also”.

The Holiday Show, will be open from 12pm to 5.30pm on the 18th and 19th February and entry is free as well as free car parking and children’s’ entertainment. Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to discuss and book their holidays with the travel experts and also be in with a chance to win many prizes on offer throughout the two day event.
